Billy Rucker has been asked to trace Lucy Bradley, a young runaway living on the streets in London. Frustratingly Billy is sure he saw Lucy on the previous day and when he goes back to the same place he begins a trail that leads him to the sixteen-year-old. Unfortunately, when he finds her she is dead - strangled and stabbed and abandoned in a disused house. For Billy, the case should be at an end - but he can't quite let her go, and on the entreaties of her father he agrees to track down her killer.

About Adam Baron

Adam Baron is an actor and comedian as well as a writer for TV and radio. He is the author of the Billy Rucker crime series, and his most recent novel is It Was You. The second novel in the series, Hold Back the Night, will be dramatised on BBC Radio 4 in August 2005.
