Ruth Miskin is currently involved in a nationwide phonics training programme for primary schools. Channel 4 filmed Ruth Miskin working in a failing school, and using the RWI programme to raise standards. In the course of the series, struggling and non-readers were shown developing new confidence, competence and enthusiasm for reading.
