J.F. Evans has a BA in Philosophy and Comparative Religion, a BSc in Earth and Enviromental Sciences and Cert.Ed. in History. He is part qualified as an accountant and is a qualified cobbler. He has worked in commercial administration, and as a computer programmer, run a wool and craft shop, sold vintage wine, and after a spell as a semi-professional politician, (Council Leader), ended up as a teacher, only to retire to sell metal goblins on e-bay and write this. For his sins he has also been a churchwarden and aspirant Anglican ordinand.
